Some Simple/Fun Earrings & Rings

Just a few simple earrings and rings I made today...

I'm feeling like I'd better think of something more interesting to post about than just 'what I made today'... It seems like that's all I post about anymore. I guess I'm not feeling very chatty.

I really like the sea shell and starfish accents, and the way you wound the wire on the other earrings and rings. You don't always have to always be "chatty." You express yourself with your creativity, also (in my opinion...). I always enjoy seeing your new pieces.

is the ring on the bottom made with iolite? it's so pretty!

Yep, that's iolite. I need to get it listed in my shop soon....

I love that iolite ring, it's gorgeous! What a creative way to display the beads. If I hadn't just bought a wire-wrapped ring from you that I wear EVERY DAY, I would totally get that one! Or maybe there is no limit on how many wire-wrapped rings a girl can wear at once? :)

I love that blue ring on the bottom and also the starfish accented earrings.

Do you ever work with recycled gold? Gold looks better with my skin, but as we all know it's terrible for the environment...

Silly Sara - of COURSE there is no limit! Well, maybe 10 just because you'd run out of fingers. :-)

vko, funny you should ask... I just found a source that sells both recycled gold and silver jewelry making supplies! I need to use up what I already have but once I do, I'm going to start ordering from them. I don't do much with gold yet, just because I don't feel ready to make the financial investment to stock up on all the different little components I will need; however, I did do one small custom order in gold and I have some wire left over (gold fill, not solid gold) that is the right gauge for that ring, so if you decide you want it in gold, and you can deal with it not being recycled, I'd be happy to make you one. Hmm, that gives me an idea - I think gold would be super pretty in that same design with prehnite beads... I'm going to have to try that today. :-)

Hi Tamara! Beautiful stuff :) I've been looking EVERYWHERE for recycled gold and silver jewerly making supplies and can't find anything. Is there any chance you could share your supplier with me?
Thanks so much!

Hi Eileen,

I buy my components from Hoover & Strong, but they don't stock every thing you might need - their findings selection is not the best, especially in sterling silver, but they have any kind of wire, sheet metal, etc. you can imagine. Oh, no sterling chain either unfortunately.
