New Work

I've been itching to make this ever since I received this piece of Fordite the other day and realized how cool it would be to make a reversible pendant out of it, since it is equally beautiful from either side, with different colors and patterns to complement varying outfits and occasions...

I wish I could capture the true nature of this stone better in photos; it's so much prettier in real life - it actually seems to glow... by far the prettiest opal I've ever seen.

New Work

A couple of quick things...

I made this one yesterday - the pendant is blue tourmaline and rainbow moonstone, and the necklace is vessonite. I'm not sure how I feel about this one... the color combo with the necklace stones worked in my studio light last night but in daylight, not so much. I think I might just put it on a simple sterling silver chain instead. Also, the larger blue tourmaline got a little chipped as I was setting it (argh!), so it may be gifted to someone instead of sold. Frustrating!

This is a custom order vegan 'pearl' bracelet, made to match this necklace.

I made this pendant today...

It's recycled sterling silver with a little piggy in recycled 14k gold. Oh, and a 14k gold border as well. I think it turned out really cute, although I have been having trouble getting the finish to be perfectly mirror-shiny... I may keep this one for myself; I'm kind of attached to it. I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow - I just snapped this one as I'm wearing it here in the studio.

New Stuff

I've been busy the past couple of days making lots of pretty things. I have a bunch more rings to polish and photograph later today, but here's what I've finished so far -

I made this one for myself, but I have one more strand of these beads left if anyone feels the need to have me make one for them. :-)

I really splurged on this enormous pink tourmaline cabochon at last weekend's gem show.

I left the back open to showcase how clear and color-saturated this stone is.

It's HUGE! Too big for my little paws, so it will be for sale in my shop soon.
