Today's activities

After a full morning of recipe planning (more on that tomorrow) and grocery shopping, Carlos and I settled in this afternoon to play with this new toy. I assumed since it is geared towards two year olds, it would have fairly easy clean-up... unfortunately, I was wrong.

"Hmm, what's this? Looks like fun..."

"Cool!" (Otis thinks so too.)

Fruits of the budding artist's work.

Things are still looking pretty good here... everything seems to be under control...

Uh oh, taking a turn for the worse...

Oh crap.

Washcloths weren't enough - the day's activities necessitated an early bath.
(Notice the very murky water from all the paint.)
It took some elbow grease to get all the paint off the kitchen table.

11/16/2007 update...
I just entered this series of photos in a little contest on the BitterSweet blog. Fun!

Haha! I love that his smock is almost as complete as a haz-mat suit! That's where my mother went wrong, opting for just a regular apron.

He is too cute!

He is so adorable. I'm glad he had so much fun with the painting set we gave him for his birthday. Sorry about the mess. love, mom

Sugarlips does this almost every time I let her paint! I should just let her fingerpaint in the shower naked and then hose her off at the end! He looks super cute and I love the color of the bathwater!

I love the pictures; it looks like Carlos is really having fun. Is the card you recently sent made with this toy, or was it "plain" finger painting? (Thanks for the card from Carlos; I'll keep it with some of your early art work.)
Love, Judy

Judy, the card I sent you was using 'regular' finger paints, which we will be sticking with for a while since they are way easier to clean up!

HA! What a great series of pictures! I should have figured out that the last photo would have been a bath! :) Just had to take a little peek over from Hannah's printer contest post. Hello and hope all is well with you!
