Reborn

Every so often, I make something that seems to just fall flat. This ring was one such item. Too plain maybe? Who knows... but I have many of these not-quite-right pieces sitting around waiting for a second chance to shine. A little tweak here, a touch of bling there, and viola! ... a whole new piece rises from the ashes -

New Ring

California green tourmaline, California pink tourmaline, garnet, recycled sterling silver, and recycled 14k gold ring, size 6

This one was kind of a practice piece for a new look that's been rattling around in my head for a while. I love the combination of stones, and the little 14k gold accents, but I wish I'd put another 14k gold ball in the middle of the cluster of stones, and the bezels aren't totally smooth. Ah well, live and learn.

Luxe Necklaces

Due to my little trip over the weekend, I wasn't able to make any rings, but the urge to create was driving me a little crazy, so I had to find time to use some of my new beads. I love all three of these necklaces, especially the last one. Which is your favorite?

Despite numerous setbacks in my workshop lately, I did manage to churn out two rings, after much swearing and moaning and eye rolling (it's been that kind of week)...
