Chick Pic(s) of the Day

The cutest thing happened today. I laid (lay? layed?) down on the porch for a moment to soak up some sun and take some chicken-eye-view pictures, and within a minute or two, one of the new chickens snuggled up right next to me.

In case you can't tell what you're looking at, that's my turquoise shirt, black capri pants, hairy leg, and a white chicken butt. I think the sun was too hot for her though, because she soon moved on to a shady spot. (I refuse to consider it might have been a personal affront.)

Awwwww, that's a cute, cute, pic!!
Chicks are not really that tame, unless they get used to you since they are little yellow pom-poms. I think they feel attuned to people who do not eat animals.
I used to have chicks when I was little and I always refused to eat them... i became a vegetarian and I'm so happy to see other people telling stories on the possibility of peaceful interaction of 2 kind of creatures.
Keep posting chick pics, please!

A very well-deserved snuggle. Wishing you many more.
