I love free stuff.

Matt and I have been wanting to get an outdoor loveseat/rocking chair-type thing for a while since we spend a lot of time sitting outside watching the chickens lately, but the desire hadn't been strong enough to plunk down the cash for one yet. That turned out to be a good thing because Matt scored this one for free last week! Well, just the frame, which he painted and attached wood slats to. Some cushions from Target (alas, not free) completed the look and now the three of us can rock to our hearts' content while chicken- and duck- watching. :-)

I love how Matt can just whip up something, a swinging love seat, chicken coupe, what is next?

I know, he's pretty hand, isn't he? As for 'what is next?' - well, our next big project is going to be a large fenced garden because the chickens and ducks are ruining our veggie garden this year! Hopefully by next season we will have a nice big fenced area full of raised beds for growing tons of yummy stuff. Then, maybe the year after, we'll probably add more fencing and another shed to house a few goats. :-)

Oops, 'hand' should have been 'handy'.
