Countdown to Thanksgiving - 6 Days Left!

Today's Thanksgiving countdown post recaps our exciting day yesterday, when Blossom and Tinkerbell finally arrived to live with us! Thanks so much to everyone at Farm Sanctuary, especially Sarah, for all the work that went into rescuing these sweet girls and bringing them to us.

Finally here!

Hmm... is it safe to disembark?

Oh, there's food. Can't be that bad of a place...

Mmm, pumpkin - our favorite.

Cute little pumpkin goatee.

Num num num.

Dare I say - gobble gobble?

Chowing down!

Who is this strange miniature human who keeps throwing food at us?

I guess he's not that bad.

New friends.

Getting to know each other.

Happy little herbivore.

What are you lookin' at?

Such a beautiful girl!

They are going to be so happy at your home! I'm glad you guys are enjoying them, and that Carlos will grow up to know what turkeys are really like.

Thank you for all that you do, Tamara.

Wow Tamara! Those pictures make me so happy. Call me weird, but seeing that made me cry. What a great life those turkeys are going to have. I wish everyone could treat animals like that! Thanks for that. :)

Hi Tamara, everyone looks so happy, even Carlos. You should be very proud of what you are doing for the animals.

Oh I love them already. I love the feast you put out for them all fancy. You know they will not accept any less now. You'll always have to spread their food out with a blanket and flowers from now on. I love how the other chicks are look at them from the fence. Just beautiful.
