This is Willy, our trusty contractor. And this is our house. Well, technically, part of our garage.
I'm sure my regular readers have noticed that I have been remiss in offering my usual monthly giveaways these past few months. The only excuse I have is extreme busyness (is that a word?)... but I'm ready to get back on track. I like to make you work for your prizes (especially by guessing random and obscure things about my life - hmm, self-centered much?), so here's your assignment - leave a comment on this post guessing what Willy is doing to our house. After a few weeks, I will randomly choose from those of you who guessed correctly and one of you will win $25 to spend in either my bead shop or my jewelry shop.
The fine print: If you know me in real life and I've already told you what's going on, no guessing for you!!!

I think that Willy is turning your garage (or at least part of it) into a bead room.
Ok I know you in real life but you haven't told me what you're doing. Turning part of your garage into an official jewelry making/business running studio?
Hi! I have just stumbled upon your Etsy shop and now your blog.
Your work is absolutely breathtaking. I hope you are having Willy build you an amazing studio for your beautiful jewelry creations.
I spy a new studio!
I concur with Sara and Jamie. It has to be for your jewelry shop. If so, how exciting!!
I'm guessing Willy is building a play room for Carlos?
I think its a studio for your jewelry and metalsmithing. ;-)
I believe someones garage is being split to have one side be mc farland studio jewelry central!!!
I also think it's to give you the extra space for your jewellery business!
It seems to be almost a consensus that he's building you *a new studio space*, which is my guess as well.
Bah! Everyone already said it...a new studio. :)
Is he building a workshop for your silversmithing? (If so, I'm jealous!) :P
It's going to be your studio or a play room for Carlos.
A new room for a new baby.
I had no idea there would be such a unanimous consensus! Maltese, I was surprised no one guessed that sooner. Not saying it's right (or wrong), just that I'm surprised no one else has guessed it. :-)
Greetings from Charleston, South Carolina -- about 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. I hope by now Willy has made GREAT progress on your secret project. I so hope it's a new silversmithing studio so that you will have the room and space to continue creating your awe-inspiring works of art! My dear friend adopted a son from Guatemala eight years ago and calls him her angel sent from above. Best to you and Carlos! Maria
